Abstract: Basedontheanalysisoftheformationmechanismofthepulsecurrentinthepowersupplysideduringthestartuptransient,therelationshipbetweentheoutercircuitparametersandthepulsecurrentpeekinthepowersupplysidewasstudiedbytheanalysisandexperimentsundervaryingparameters.Resultsshowthatthepulsecurrentonthepowersupplysidedecreaseswiththeincreaseofcapacitanceandinductance.Basedonthededucedfunctionofpeakpulsecurrentonthepowersupplyside,theeffectsofcapacitanceandinductanceonthepowersupplypulsecurrentduringaHallthrusterstartuptransientwasstudied.Therequirementoftheturn,magneticcoresectionalarea,andtheBHcurveofselectedinductorwasdiscussed.ThisresearchcanprovidereferencefortheoutercircuitparameterdesigninHallthrusters.
