GROUND THERMAL SCALE MODELING OF RADIATION-CONVECTIVE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER SYSTEM IN MICROGRAVITY ENVIRONMENT

Abstract: Through theoretical analysis and numerical verification,the temperature-material-Nusselt number preservation technique is further developed and extended to ground thermal scale modeling of radiation-convective heat and mass transfer systems under microgravity by the technique of wall heat flux compensation and modification.When the model size is properly reduced,the natural convection can be dramatically suppressed.And the similarity between the model and the prototype in temperature,humidity and flow field is obtained.
