Abstract: The radiation calibration of scanning radiometer for the meteo- rological satellite is stated in this paper,including the pre-launch calibra- tion,in-flight calibration and the absolute calibration through comparison between the data ground measured and the data transmitted from the satel- lite.It is commemted that the calibration for visible waveband can not yet be used for operation satellite currently and is in research stage still. The ra- diation calibration for geostationary satellite can only be relative one.There- fore we must find an objective target as a calibration source to resolve the problem of absolate calibration.In this way the data transmitted from satel- lite will be effective even if the calibration equipment on the satellite is failed.
