STUDY OF RESERVOIR INDUCED EARTHQUAKES USING THE IMAGES OF CHINESES LAND RESOURCE SATELLITE

Abstract

Abstract: Using the images of Chineses Land Resource Satellite laune- ched in October 1985,together with data of earthquakes and earth-stress measurement,we'd studied the structural features of PAN JIAKOU reser- voir and its neighbouring areas,HEBEI Province.“The theory of density equilibrium ellipsoid”was also used to probe into the problem of induced seismicity in reseroir.The results of this study indicated that there might be earthquake less than 5 degree on Richter scale.Responsible Depatment must pay attention to it.
