Abstract: The influence of simulated space environment on the properties of the satellite temperature-control coating-Optical Solar Reflector(OSR)is discussed. Two kinds of OSR sample are tested in the simulated space environ- ment. The simulated items include vaccum UV irradiation, low energy eletctron and two energy levels protons irradiation. The surface charge/discharge test is carried out under plasma environmental conditions. After the electron, proton and UV accelerative irradiation of total dosage equivalent to 7-year at the south or north pole of geosynchronous orbit satellite, the solar absorptance increases from 0.068 to 0.078 and the normal em ttance decreases from 0.83 to 0.72 for conductive OSR,while the absorptance increases from 0.066 to 0.085 and the nornal emittance decreases from 0.82 to 0.76 for nonconduc- tive OSR.Also,it is shown from the charge/discharge test that the surface charge potential is only 15~40 V for conductive OSR,but 1 to 10 kV for nonconductive OSR.Therefore the conductive OSR can control the surface charge/discharge effectively.
