Abstract: In the past ten years,the technique of satellite broadcasting hasbeen developed rapidly.In this paper,the frequency band used in satellitebroadcasting and the recieving forms are presented.And the regulation ofsatellite broadcasting,main devices used in direct broadcasting satellite(DBS)system,miniaturization toothed of earth recieving system and the transmi-ssion format of TV signals in satellite broadcasting are described.The gen-eral situation about the development of foreign direct broadcasting TV isalso summarized in the end of this paper.
