Abstract: The space station is unlike any manned spacecraft, it is a permanent facility in space. A space station will permit quantum leaps in our research on science, on space technology, and in metals and lifesaving medicines which can be manufactured only in space. This paper deals with various aspects of space station such as composition of space station system, configurations, key technology, application and future development.
