Abstract: The configuration of k-out-of-n: G system with m cross-strapping stand-by components can be used to the rpeater system of communnication/broadcast satellites. It is called here n:k (G)/m system. The formula for computing reliability of this system is presented. Also a design of switch for 3:2 (G)/1 repeater system is given, by which the function of cross-strapping switchover can be implemented.
