Abstract: ToresearchtheionizingradiationeffectsonChargeCoupledDevices(CCD)inspaceorbitenvironments,theexperimentsofionizingradiationeffectsonarrayCCDswerepresented.TheoutputsignalsversusintegrationtimeweremeasuredwhennolightwasincidentonthearrayCCDs.Thedarksignalslope(KD)andthedarksignalvoltages(VD)versusthetotaldoseswerepresented.Thedegradationsofdarksignalsversusthetotaldosesunderthedifferentbiasconditionswerecompared.Themechanismsofdarksignaldegradationinducedbyionizingradiationweredemonstrated.Theannealrecoveryofdarksignalwasalsomeasured.Thedarksignalnonuniformity(DSNU)versusintegrationtimeatdifferenttotaldoseswasanalyzed.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatthearrayCCDsareverysensitivetotheionizingdamage,andthedesignofthespaceimagingsystemshouldconsidertheinfluenceinducedbyionizingdamage.Theresultsprovideagoodunderstandingofthedegradations andmechanismsofthedarksignalinthearrayCCDinducedbyionizingdamage.
