Abstract: The Ulumqi and Guangzhou turnaround ranging stations developed by the company of the author and the Beijing master station compose a threepoint ranging system.This system can perform the function of the ranging and orbit determination of FY2 satellite.This article mainly introduces the configuration,function and technical specification of the turnaround ranging stations.Compared to the same type of the products abroad,this type of station has some distinguished features and has passed the design review of all levels. The stations were used in the tracking of the Japanese Meteorological satellite.The design of the turn around ranging station has been proved to be feasible and reasonable by the successful ranging and orbit determination of the FY2 satellite.
