Abstract: There are a series of remarkable features in VSAT satellite communications.It could be served to end users directly.An engineeing calculation for link budgets is discribed. Some methods for selecting various link parameters are discussed also.A calculaton of a Ku band satellite communication link budgets as an example is presented in the last part of this paper.
