Abstract: This paper proposes a new technology of remote sensing data compression based on biorthogonal wavelet bases. The linear phase and symmetric exact reconstruction wavelet FIR fliters are designed. Finally, a good rebuilt remote sensingimage compressed by wavelet FIR filters is obtained.
