Abstract: Mostofcurrentresearchesaboutvariablegeometrytruss(VGT) motionplanningonlyfocusonthesituationthateachbayhassingledegreeoffreedom.MotionplanningofVGTwhoseeachbayarevariablemultiplelinkswereinvestigated.Kinematicmodelwassetupbasedonthegeometricalrelationship.Consideringmomentumconservationofthefreefloatingsystem,velocitykinematicmodelwasformulated.AmethodofdesigningmovingsequenceandmovingtimeseparatelywasproposedformotionplanningofsinglebayVGT.Additionally,multi-bayVGTmotionplanningproblemwassolvedbyenergyoptimum.Simulationresultsshowthatthealgorithmiseffective,andtheoptimizingindexis0.8798.ThemethodhaspracticalbenefitstothespaceoperationsystemwithVGT.
