Abstract: Thefirstclassofnosingularityvariablesasfittingparameters,alongwiththeorbitalinclinationof5°rotation,caneasilykeepthebroadcastephemerisofGEOconsistentwiththatofMEOandIGSO.However,thesingularityproblemcausedbyorbitalelementsstillexiststosomeextent.A16parameterfittingsetwaspresentedspecificallyforGEOephemerisfitting.Firstly,GEOelementswereintroducedtodescribethemotionofGEO′ssubsatellitepoint.Secondly,thelongitudedriftduetotesseralharmonictermsofgeopotentialwasconsideredinthedesignofperturbedparameters.Fitsimulationsshowthattherootofmeansquaresofuserrangeerrorwith2hdatasetisbetterthan0.01m.
