Abstract: Duetothecomplexbackground,changesoftheilluminationandrelativemotions,betterperformancesineffectivenessandrobustnessareneededformovingtargetgraspingtasks.Anewdetectingandtrackingmethodbasedondynamiccontourfeatureswasproposed.Thegraygradientmethodandtheactivecontourmodelwereintegratedinthismethod.Atfirst,onthebasisofthetraditionalgraygradientmethod,animprovedgraygradientmethodwasproposed,whichincludedshapematching,areascreeningandadaptiveadjustmentofgraythreshold.Accordingtothedetectingresultsoftargetcontour,thetimedomainconstraintsbetweenimagesequenceswerealsoinvolved.ThedetectingresultswereaddedintheGVFsnakemethodtoimprovethemeasuringaccuracyandeffectiveness.Intheend,consideringtherealtimedemandofthegraspingtasks,thetrackingmethodswasparallelwithCUDAcalculationarchitectureandanexperimentwasconductedwithabundleofsequentialimages.Theresultshowsthatthetrackingratecanreach10framespersecond,improvingthetrackingspeedwithoutsacrificingtheaccuracy.
