Abstract: Microwavepowertransmission(MPT)isoneofthekeytechnologiesinSpaceSolarPowerStation(SSPS).Thestate-of-the-artresearchesandvalidationsonlyfocusonindividualtechnologybutlackofcomprehensiveoptimizationforSSPSsystem.AccordingtotheoperatingmodeofSSPS,ademonstrationsystemwasproposedtovalidatemicrowavepowertransmissioninSSPS.ThetransmittingantennaarrayandrectennaarrayweredesignedbyusingintegratedprocessingwithapproximateGaussianfielddistributionintransmittingantennaarrayandlowreflectiondesigninrectennaarray.Thebeamcontrolmethodinthesystemwasbasedondirectionofarrivalestimationbysendingpilotsignalandbeamsynthesisbycontrollingthephaseshiftersinthetransmittingantennaarray.Theanalyzedbeamcollectingefficiencyofdemonstrationsystemis94.2%,about17.6%higherthanthetraditionaluniformdistributionsystem.ThedemonstrationsystemcomprehensivelysimulatestheMPTofSSPSinseveralways,includingsystemscaleminification,transmittingantennafielddistribution,etc,powerdensityandbeamcontrollinganditcanbethepromotionofSSPSdevelopment.
