Abstract: Inordertopreciselyresearchthedynamicsperformanceofadeployablestructurebasedonascissor-likeelement,clearanceswereintroducedintooneofalljointsinthescissor-likeelementsothatitwasclosedtotherealmechanism.Thekinematicmodeloftherevolutejointwithclearancewasestablishedbytheprincipleofthemotionbetweenjointelements.ThenormalandtangentialcontactforcesbetweenjointelementsweredescribedbyaGonthiercontactforcemodelandacorrectionalCoulombfrictionmodel.Thecontactforcesbetweenthebearingandthejournalwereconvertedtothemasscentersoflinkandthesliderconnectedbythisclearancejoint.Theconvertedcontactforceandtheadditionaltorquewereintegratedtoageneralizedforceinmotionequationsofthedeployablestructure,andthentheeffectofjointclearancewasintroducedtothescissor-likeelement.Adirectdefaultcorrectionmethodwasusedtodirectlymodifythecoordinatesandspeedsofthesystemtoavoidthenumericalresultsdivergence.Also,thismethodcancontrolthedefaultwithinagivenrangeofaccuracy.Theinfluenceofrevolutejointclearanceonthedynamicperformanceofthelineararraydeployablestructurewaspredictedbymeansofnumericalanalysis,providingareferenceandbasisforthestudyofthemotionaccuracyandmechanismdesignofdeployablestructures.Furthermore,thesimulationresultsextendtheapplicationrangeoftheclearancecollisionmodel,whichishelpfulforengineeringapplications.
