Abstract: A recognitionsystemwaspresentedtoaccomplishspacetargetclassification.Firstly,Imagefeaturevectorswereextractedaccordingtoinvariantregionmoments,shapeandimagedescriptorsofspaceobjects.Andthen,clusteringalgorithmisappliedtotheclassifyspacetarget.AnimprovedkernelclusteringalgorithmbasedonVoronoidistancewasproposedwhichhadacrispermembershipfunctionandwasrobustfornoiseandoutliers.Experimentsshowthattheimprovedkernelfuzzyclusteringalgorithmismoreaccurateandvalidthanthatoftheconventionalmethods.
