Abstract: MannedmaneuveringunitsmadebyAmericanandtheSovietUnionbothusetwosetsofindependentpropulsionsystems,whicharebackupforeachother.Thebackuppropulsionsystemcantaketheplaceofthefailurepropulsionsystem,buttherearenofurthersafeguardsforthebackupsystem.Thetraditionalschemerestrictsthesafetyandextravehicularability.Basedontheconventionalpropulsionmodeanemergencypropulsionmodewasproposed.Differentstrategieswerecarriedoutaccordingtothepositionalrelationshipofthefailuredthrusters.Theremainingeffectivethrusterstoensurethe6-DOFcontrolwerecombined.Calculationandsimulationresultsindicatethat,theemergencypropulsioncancompletethetaskofextravehicularactivitieswithreductionofpropulsion,andtheschemeisfeasible.
