Abstract: AnovelKu/Kadualbandsharedaperturemicrostriparrayantennawasproposed.Theantennaelementswereplacedonasinglelayertokeepthestructurecompact.TheKu-bandelementswerefedattheedgesbymicrostriplines,whiletheKa-bandwascoupledfedbyL-shapedaperturesinthegroundplanetorealizecircularpolarization.Thesimulatedandmeasuredresultsdemonstratethefeasibilityoftheproposeddesign.Thesimulatedimpedancebandwidthoftheantennais2.2%forKu-bandand4.3%forKa-bandrespectively,andmeasuredresultsare2.1%and3.4%respectively.TheantennastructureisapplicableforKu/Kadualbandsatellitecommunication.
