Abstract: Thespacemanipulatorjointhastoadoptthehighreductionrategearbox.TheFEMshoweditsdisadvantageinthestiffnessanalysisandjointweightreductionduetothecomplexityofthegearbox.Thestiffnessmodelwasestablishedwiththelumpedparametermethodandthestiffnessseriesprinciple.Theinfluenceofallparts′stiffnessonthegeneralstiffnessofthespacemanipulatorjointwasanalyzedandanewwaytooptimizethehighreductionratejointwasgiven.
