Abstract: detectionmethodbasedonpredictiondispersionwaspresentedtodealwithLEOspacecraftorbitanomalycausedbymaneuvers,collisions,andatmosphericenvironment.Thesemimajoraxisandinclinationwereselectedasorbitcharacteristicparameters.PredictionvaluesoforbitcharacteristicparameterscanbeachievedbyorbitextrapolationbasedonSGP4modelsecularterm.Afterdatasmoothingprocess,predictiondispersionsequencecanbeobtainedbycalculatingthedifferencebetweenpredictionandcatalogvaluesofthecharacteristicparameters.TheorbitanomalywasdetectedthroughthepredictiondispersiondatabasedonMahalanobisdistance.ThedetectionresultsofTerrain2010isconsistentwiththemaneuverhistorypublishedbyNASA,whichindicatethatthemethodpresentedinthispapercandetectthetimes,epochandtypeoforbitanomalyandcanbewidelyappliedtothespacesurveillanceandspacesituationalawareness.
