Abstract: Tovalidatethelargeangleattitudemaneuvercontrolandprecisionstabilizationofasmallsatellite,ahybridcontrolmethodforasingle-axisairbearingtable(SABT)wasproposed,usingfourthrustersandaflywheeltoperformthescheme.Thephaseplaneapproachandfinitetimecontroltheoremwasusedtodesignthecontroller.Inthiscontrolscheme,thefourthrusterswerefirstlyactuatedtoachieveafastslewmaneuverwithoutovershoot,andtheflywheelwasthenactuatedtoperformthehighprecisionstabilizationinlimitedtime.Themethoddefinedanintelligentswitchbetweenthetwoactuatorsinrealtime.PhysicalsimulationresultsshowthatthemethodcanachievethelargeanglemaneuveroftheSABTinlimitedtime,andcaneffectivelyavoidtheovershootofthemaneuver,thechatteringofthethrustersandthesaturationoftheflywheel.
