Abstract: InordertomaintaintheformationofHJ-1A/Bconstellation,ensureCCDcamerascoverChina′sterritoryorrevisittheglobalin 48hours,andmeetthedemandsofChina′sdisastermonitoringandglobalterrestrialobserving,anorbitmaintenancestrategy consideringbothgroundtrackandconstellationphasewasdeveloped.Duringtheprocessofdisasterreductionandenvironment protection,revisitandcoveragecharacteristicsaremorecriticalthanstrictgroundtrackmaintenance,sotheorbitmaintenancestrategymainlyconsidertheconstellationphase.Itreducestheorbitmaintenancetimeandoperationrisk,savesthefuel,benefitslifespanofHJ-1A/B.Inthelast3moreyears,theorbitmaintenanceworkwasfullycompletedthroughonlytwice operations.
