The Workshop was held in Beijing from Oct, 21 to 29, 1985. It is organized and sponsored jointly by the United Nations and the Government of the People's Republic of China. It provides the participants with a comprehensire view of the current status and foreseeable developments, to the year 2000, of space science and technology and its applications. Topics covered during discussions included basic space sciences, satellite communication and broadcasting systems, satellite meteology, remote sensing of the earth, commercial experiments and production in space, contributions of the developing countries to future advancements in space science and tehnology.

The microwave integrated doubler link used in satellite engineering is of low noise, excellent stability, high efficiency or low comsupsion and exparided width for c band. It has an ability to simultaneously output four channel signal of same amplitude, constant frequency and unity phase. The output of each channel has less than-70dB for noise, and more than 65dB for the harmonic suppression. It consists of a sixty-time(4×4)doubler used a jump-diode with non-idler circuit, a two stage power-amplifier used the non-insulation and a power divider of about-6dB. The max efficiency of the jump-diode for four-time doubler is more than 56%;the gain of power amplifier is 8dB and 17dB respeetively; the divider has properties that the insulation between each twoterminal is more than 20dB and the balancing degree is about 0.1dB. They had respectively assembled in two box resonator of size 230×58×33(mm)and 58×38×24. Total weight is about 0.9kg.

QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF MULTI-STATE NON-COHERENT FAULT-TREE FOR SPIN SATELLITE RATE CONTROL SYSTEM

There are two failure modes for spin satellite rate control system, the rotation speed too low or too high. For prevention of the rate unlimited in creasing, the latch circuit for thrusters in tangent direction and the application of the reverse thrusters are recommended in [1]. Based on the qualitative analysis results of multi-state non-coherent fault tree for spin satellite rate control system, an improvement is suggested in this paper.

Digital Simulation of the Satellite Dynamics During Solar Array Deployment
Miao Bingqi

): 25-31.
Abstract

The satellite dynamics during solar array deployment is studied with the digital simulation method. After a comparison made between different methods available for dynamic analysis the D'Alembert's principle in Lagrange's form is used to derive the mathematical model governing the satellite dynamics. The satellite dynamics during solar array deployment is then digitally simulated for various deployment conditions, including symmetric and antisymmetric array deployment, non-synchronous release of the right and left array, different spring rigidities and array positions. Some useful conclusions are obtained after the simulation.

THE CALCULATION OF THE GROUND RESOLUTION OF THE SCANNING RADIOMETER FOR A SATELLITE

This paper presents a calculating methode that solves the ground resolution of the scanning radiometer for a satellite. This methode can be used not only for the case of geostationary satellite, but also for the case of satellite of lower orbit (usually sun synchronization)in which the scanning direction of the radiometer is perpendicular to the orbit itself. It has been proved that the sides of the ground resolution element is composed of a segment of circles when the earth is regarded as a global and that the sides of the ground resolution element is composed of a segment of ellipses when the earth is regarded as a ellipsoid.

It is known that, in magnetosphere substorm environment, there may occur very high absolute and differential charging on geosynchronous satellite, its insulating surface may be charged to very high negative potential, due to the energetic eiectron injection. For prediction of the spacecraft charging, it is important to measure the material charging properties. Usually, the 0-30 keV electron irradiation erivironment is used for simulating the substorm environment. This paper described the testing results on some of aluminized insulating films and ther mal control coating materials in 5 20keV electron irradiation conditions, and repoted the anomaly phenomena observed in measurement of surface potential at some of electron energy ranges.

Microcomputer Telemetry data receiving and processing system (MTDRPS)mainly consists of a BCM-1 microcomputer system and a single board computer with 8 bits word length. With the receiving devices of the ground stations, MTDRPS can receive and process the compressed telemetry data. The system has two main features: 1. The data receiving buffer is used and the serial telemetry data receiving and parallel data storing are processed by two microcomputers respectively. 2. By using the software method the synchronism was performed
