MINIMUM-FUEL LOW-THRUST MULTIPLE-BURN APOGEE MANEUVER FOR THE GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITE
Wang Xiaojun; Wu Delong; Yu Menglun(Beijing Institute of Astronautical Systems Engineering, Beijing 100076)
    1995, 15 (04):  .
    Abstract ( 1657 )   Save
In the case of low thrust apogee boost for the geostationary satellite, the gravity loss increases due to the long burn arc. Based on the maximum principle, the optimal multiple-burn strategy is studied in this paper. Finally, the results of optimal thrust direction and optimal intermediate orbits are obtained and discussed.

    Abstract ( 1487 )   Save
Simplification of mathematical modelling and uncertainties of physical parameters which cause the difference between experiment data and numerical results calculated by thermal network method are discussed. To improve the accuracy of analytical predictions, it is necessary to correct the thermalnetwork by experiment data. The difficulties of correction are too many coefficients needed to be corrected.the small temperature difference among nodes and no experiment data at some nodes.A new method to deal with these difficulties is developed in this paper. The method simplifies the radiation relationships of mathematical model, and uses Least Square Estimation to produce a more practical mathematical model. The themal network of a spacecraft compartment is corrected by this method.

A TECHNIQUE OF COHERENT INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSION IN ADAPTIVE CIRCULAR ARRAY
Yang Chao; Li Li(Military Representative Office of Chinese NavyAccredited to Chengdu Electronic Equipment, Chengdu 610036)
    1995, 15 (04):  .
    Abstract ( 1882 )   Save
The mechanism of the performance degradation due to coherent interferences in convertional adaptive array is investigated. Based on decorrelating the incoming coherent interference signals, a technique of coherent interference suppression in adaptive circular array is proposed. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation results prove that the technique is correct and useful.

MODERN SMALL SATELLITES AND ITS KEY TECHNOLOGY
Lin Laixing(Beijing Institute of Control Engineering, Beijing 100080)
    1995, 15 (04):  .
    Abstract ( 1600 )   Save
In engineering, as in science and the arts, evolutionary processes ultimately lead to simplification and perfection. The rise of modern small satellites show that the space technology is developing forward in this way.Because of the remarkable advantages of the small satellites, such as light weight, small size, low cost, high performance and short development time, expect:the development of small satellites will bring about a great revolution to satellite application and satellite technology. In this paper, the concept and background of small satellites were expounded at first. Secondly the survey of their development were made. Finally. the key technology of small satellites were studied.

This paper briefly describes basic demand of mobile telecommunication satellite market in China. The design considerations for seting up a mobile communication satellite system in China are given, which include its design goal and task, selection of communication systems, orbit and frequency band etc. The paper also gives an introduction to the main characteristics of regional mobile communication satellte for China and Asia -Pacific area, such as satellite's EIRP, G/T, SFD and communication capacity. The realization of communication by handheld sets utilizing a geostationary orbit communication satellite is proven.

A COMPACT ATOMIC OXYGEN SIMULATOR WITH MICROWARE PLASMA
Tong Jingyu; Li Jinhong; Liu Feng(Beijing Institute of Spacecraft Environment Engineering. beijing 100029)
    1995, 15 (04):  .
    Abstract ( 1712 )   Save
A novel atomic oxygen simulator is introduced. The simulator uses an advanced electron cyclotron resonance technology. Under optimum condition.10 ̄15/ (cm2. s) beam density can be obtained. Two kinds of material which have been often used in spacecraft, kapton and graphite/epoxy, were tested in this simulator and it is the first time that we successful in obtaining the results of atomic oxygen beam effects in China. The surface morphology analysis shows that our results are similar to those of NASA and ESA. It is evident that China has made important progress in ground simulation of atomic oxygen effects.

    Abstract ( 2338 )   Save
In this paper, the foundamental measuring principle and the principle of sounding air electric field mill are described. Double electric field mill structure is used to eliminate the effect caused by charge on instrument. The instrument is a smooth cylinder and induction windows are made on is top and bottom. Some preliminary experiments are introduced.
