A plane flight test of the remote sensing system with CCD ca- mera and data transmissing link was performed in October 1986.The flight test was successful,and high quality preprocessed panchromatic and multi- spectral pseudo-colored photos were obtained.This paper presents in detail the design,composition and special features of the system,and its charac- teristics,operating principle and hardware development as well.The flight test with its results and analysis were presented too.

This paper describes physics processes of the discharge within an orificed hollow cathode.On the basis of parameters of the 8-cm mercury ion thruster and hollow cathode,the pressure、particle density、initial energy exchange mean free path of electron within the hollow cathode were calculated.Thus main dimensions of emitter and top orifice of catthode were designed.The emission carrent of cathode was checked.The parameters of heater and thermal-equilibrium of cathode were calculated and comparad with results of experiments.According to operating mode of the cathode in the thruster,the design of the cathode structure,including selection of the materials and the technology of the plasma spray,were described.The re- suits of the long-term thermal-simulation experiments were given.

This paper briefly describes the principles of balancing and correcting for low-speed spinning satellites that work as rigid rotor on ver- tical dynamic balancing machines provided with hard supports.It presents a correct formula,determining methods and determining results for minimum achievable residual unbalance of YLP-1 type vertical dynamic balancing ma- chines with hard supports.It concisely gives the error source analysis and data processing in the process of satellite balancing,and derives the formula for calculating the residual unbalance a which determines the final balacing accu- racy of rigid rotors.It also presents two groups of data of the tests for balancing returnable remote sensing satellites.Flying tests have proved that the expected design object is achieved.

Space station has great advantages over other spacecrafts.This paper describes in detail its four distinguishing features.The first is crew's entering space station after its ejection,which simplifies the process of development as well as enhances the safety guarantee;the second is the capability of automatic resupply,maintenance and replacement of space-borne equipment;the third is the ability to orbit and operate for a long time, and the final is alterability and extendability of its functions.These fea- tures and advantages indicate fully the important place and role of space station in the future manned spaceflight.

The model of the synthetical benefit of a spacecraft is a dyna- mic model which is established by applying system idea and investment -expense theory.It includs the general benefit model and optimun benefit model.The value of synthetical benefit can be obtained by using system analysis and practising in satellite,platform and space station.And compared with engineering estimation methods the quantitative calculation of the dynamic benefit model is proved to be viable and creditble.It has certain general meaning for benefit analysis and calculation.It also indicates that in order to obtain the more benefit of space technology,not only a large amount of investment is needed,but also the investment stratagy must be considered carefully.In the whole investment period it is a good approach of raise benefit to maintain saturated level variable.It is also a important research topic which must be emphasized.

The purpose of this paper is to study the information-preserving compression coding of SPOT remote-sensing image.We come to the conclu- sion.For the compression coding of information-preserving of SPOT remo- te-sensing image,the compression ratio is larger than 2 when combining the three-point predictor and the A_3 linear code under the condition of that the ration of information-preserving is more than 99%.
