DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF CHINESE SATELLITES
    Min Guirong (CAST)
    1991, 11 (03):  1-6.
    Abstract ( 1756 )   Save
This paper summarizes the way along which Chinese satelliteshave been developed, and shows that the main kinds of satellites which weredeveloped over the past twenty years in China are the application satellites. The main objectives are the satellites, such as communications, remote sen-sing and scientific experiment satellites in earth orbits at different height. The number of China's satellites was not large, but the step of developingwas large, and satellites and ground support facilities have been developedthrough self-reliance.In the meantime, the article presents the applications of Chinese satellitesin education, broadcasting, communications, natural resources, mapping, meteorology, scientific experiment, national defence and etc.In the end of this paper, the development prospect of chinese satelliteapplication in the 1990's is pointed out.

    Abstract ( 1792 )   Save
The analysis of the pictures of Landsat TM and the photosof our land resources satellite camera and the on-the-spot investigationshow that the pollution caused by industrial waste water on the easterncoast of Jiaozhou Bay is very serious. The main pollution sources concentrateon along the Haipo river,Licun river,Loushan river and Changkou Distri-ct coast. The width of polluted water area is up to 4~7km,and it spreadsto the sea outside the bay with down stream. The area of polluted region“White Sands” caused by the drained wastes from Qingdao Alkali Factoryamounts to 0.53km~2 at present. The atmosphere in Qingdao City is seriouslypolluted, where the smoke plume is up to 14km wide, drifting down thewind and reaching 30kin far away, which will certainly bring about the di-saster such as acid rain.

FAST ACQUISITION OF INBOUND SIGNAL UNDER LOW SIGNAL—TO—NOISE RATIO CONDITION IN RDSS SYSTEM
Ye Fei Lu Wenfu (Beijing Institute of Information Engineering)
    1991, 11 (03):  24-35.
    Abstract ( 1673 )   Save
The paper presents an overall analysis on various kinds ofpossible methods of fast acquisition in the view of the whole system. Precisemathematical models have been established and used to analyse the influencesof PN pattern,Gaussian noise and Doppler frequency shift on the perfor-mance of PN code aquisition.Computer-aided analysis gives some quantitativeand qualitative results which indicate that SAW matched filter is the bestchoice.Theoretical analysis is also given to the recommended RDSS standardinbound PN pattern. One possible fast acquisition method has been conceivedaccording to this pattren.

    Abstract ( 2299 )   Save
This paper describes briefly the important achievements andsocial、economic and ecological beneficial results in agriculture using remotesensing technique, and raises the point that it is necessary to use remotesensing technique in surveying, monitoring and regionalizing of nationalagricultural resourses and other managering fields. The rapid development, including introduction, digestion, absorption and application of remotesensing technique,is presented in the paper. It also elaborates thedifficulties and complexity of remote sensing technique application inagriculture in our country and puts forward to build a multi-level systemof agricultural resources monitoring using remote sensing technique atpresent and in future.
